Biography

Rebecca Journigan is the director of operations for Academic Student Affairs and Global Engagement at Wayne State University. In this role, she is the chief of staff to the vice president, managing the daily operations and supporting the strategic goals of the division.

Rebecca helps guide a portfolio that includes enrollment management, student success initiatives, community college partnerships and satellite campuses, and several student-facing academic services offices, departments and programs within the Office of the Provost. Additionally, she works with the Office of International Programs on strategic global partnerships and initiatives, the recruitment and support of international students, study abroad and specialized summer programs.

In addition to operations management, Rebecca has prior experience in alumni relations and special events. Before coming to Wayne State in 2009, she held management positions at the University of Detroit Mercy and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Rebecca has a bachelor of public affairs from Wayne State and a master of business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is a past president of the Mercy High School Alumnae Association and a former member of the University of Detroit Mercy Business Alumni Board. She is an active parent volunteer with University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Bingham Farms Elementary School.
