- Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program: Substantial grant funding for undergraduates with Pell Grants to pursue study abroad, including academic programs and internships. Eligibility: All undergraduates. Deadline: March 6, 2025
- Critical Language Scholarship (CLS): Fully-funded 8-10 week immersive foreign language study (abroad or virtual) for infrequently-studied languages (e.g. Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic). Eligibility: All enrolled undergraduate and graduate students (prior study required for Arabic, Chinese and Russian). Deadline: November 19, 2024.
- Douglass-O’Connell Global Internship, fully-funded 8-week summer internship program where 10 exceptional student leaders will draw inspiration from the legacies of two remarkable social justice leaders, Eligibility: Freshman, sophomore or junior, Deadline: November 29, 2024
- Fulbright UK Summer Institute: Fully-funded 3-to-4-week program to participate in special seminars at UK universities which explore specific themes related to arts, sciences, and the culture, heritage, and history of the regions of the UK. Eligibility: Undergraduates with limited travel experience outside of North America and at least 2 years remaining before graduation. Deadline: February 3, 2025.
- Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program: Fully-funded 6-week summer program for undergraduate students to learn about international affairs and career opportunities and prepare for future fellowships. Eligibility: [All?] undergraduates. Deadline: February 6, 2024.
- Barry Goldwater Scholarship: Substantial grant scholarship for sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in STEM and already have substantial STEM experience. Eligibility: Sophomores and juniors. Deadline: January 31, 2025 (Internal WSU deadline: December 6, 2024).
- Boren Scholarship and Fellowship: Fully-funded program for year-long study abroad with language focus in countries with infrequently-studied languages, with commitment to work in the federal government. Eligibility: All undergraduate (Boren Scholarships) and graduate students (Boren Fellowships). Deadline: January 29, 2025.
- Truman Scholarship: Substantial funding for college and graduate study and summer internships/mentorships for students committed to a career in public service. Eligibility: Juniors. Deadline: February 4, 2025 (Internal WSU deadline: December 6, 2024).
- Udall Scholarship: Substantial funding for college and graduate study and summer internship/mentorship for students dedicated to public service on environment or Native American affairs. Eligibility: Sophomores or juniors. Deadline: March 5, 2025 (Internal WSU deadline: January 24, 2025).
- Fulbright Student Programs: Fully-funded program to teach, conduct research, take graduate-level coursework or carry out professional projects abroad. Eligibility: seniors, graduates, independent scholars. Deadline: October 8, 2024 (Internal WSU deadline: August 23, 2024).
- Samvid Scholars: Substantial funding for two years of graduate study for future leaders and changemakers “with a bias toward action.” Eligibility: Seniors and recent graduates beginning graduate school in the year of application. Deadline: April 7, 2024
- Voyager Scholarship: partially-funded scholarship for junior and senior years of college with stipend and travel credit for positive change makers who want to pursue public service. Eligibility: Sophomores. Deadline: March 27, 2024 at at 11:59 PM Central Time
- PPIA Junior Summer Institute Fellowship Program: a rigorous academic graduate-level preparation program for undergraduate juniors committed to public service careers. Eligibility: Juniors. Deadline: November 1, 2024
