Collaborative Online International Learning workshops teach how to embed a global component into courses

Faculty and administrators who want to learn about embedding an online, team-based international component to their courses are invited to participate in one of two introductory workshops hosted by the Wayne State Office of International Programs (OIP).

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) helps students develop cross-cultural communication skills and a greater appreciation for diverse viewpoints through online team-based projects. Faculty from any discipline can add a COIL collaboration to their course.

During the workshops, you’ll hear from faculty who have successfully implemented a COIL project and meet the OIP team who will help you through the process.

The workshops are offered at noon April 5 in Purdy/Kresge Library, Teaching Commons # 150, and virtually at 11:30 a.m. April 13.
