Global Festival and Study Abroad Fair Sept. 21

Enjoy traditional foods prepared by numerous international student groups and learn more about exciting opportunities to study abroad during the annual Global Festival and Study Abroad Fair, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, on Gullen Mall in front of the Undergraduate Library.

Nosh on Polish delicacies, Sri Lankan goodies, Filipino munchies and tasty morsels from Kuwait, all of which will be available for purchase from the respective student groups. Stop by information booths from a variety of international student orgs and find out how you can join them in their endeavors and get active on the Wayne State campus and surrounding communities.

Get your passport ready and head to the adjacent Study Abroad Fair to chat with students who have studied internationally and faculty members who lead trips. Wayne State offers programs in 29 countries on five continents, so there are study opportunities around the world. Among the programs highlighted at the fair: Brazil, Italy, Poland, Germany, China, Cuba, Spain, England and France. Programs range in length from a week to a full academic year, and are open to students in most majors, years of study and even non-WSU students.

Representatives of the university's new Global Studies major will be at the Study Abroad Fair, so come with questions about how this innovative program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences can broaden your horizons and ready you for an international career.

Sponsored by the Office of International Students and Scholars, and Study Abroad and Global Programs.
