The GLIAC All-Academic and All-Academic Excellence Teams recognize student-athletes that excel on and off the court. Wayne State University set a record this season with 206 different student-athletes receiving All-Academic recognition.

The GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team recognizes those who have maintained a GPA over 3.5 for the season. Of the four members of the Men's Tennis team receiving All-Academic Excellence honors, three are international students.

Niklas Karcz

Receiving his second All-Academic Excellence Team honor in his second year of eligibility is management major Niklas Karcz from Germany. Karcz has previously been named to the Coach's Honor Roll for having a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 for the Winter 2018 semester. He has also been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for having a GPA over 3.5 in every other semester he's had at WSU, including a 4.0 in Fall 2017. Karcz is also a member of the WSU Student Leadership Council.

Pierre Renaudie

Industrial engineering major Pierre Renaudie from France is receiving All-Academic Excellence recognition in his first year of eligibility. Renaudie has also been a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester since coming to WSU, with 4.0's in every semester. Renaudie is also the secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is a recipient of the 2019-2020 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

David Solar

Making it on to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team in his first year of eligibility is biochem and chemical biology major David Solar from the Czech Republic. Solar has also earned a GPA over 3.5 ever semester he's been at WSU, winning him a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester. Solar is also a recipient of the 2019-2020 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
