Please join the division of Academic Student Affairs and Global Engagement for a special presentation featuring Zhao Jian, Consul General of China in Chicago, at 1:30 p.m., May 3, in Student Center Hilberry D. The Consul General will discuss the relationship between the United States and China. 

Consul General Zhao Jian started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in 1993, where he was Counselor of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs. As a career diplomat, he was the Counselor in the Embassy of China in Australia, and the Consul General of China in Melbourne. In 2019, he was appointed as the Consul General of China in Chicago.
