New $5,000 study abroad scholarship for children of active military members
A new $5,000 study abroad scholarship for children of active military personnel has been announced by the U.S. Department of State. Applications are due Oct. 1.
The inaugural Gilman-McCain Scholarship honors former Sen. John McCain's legacy of public service by enabling undergraduate children of active duty military personnel to develop leadership and career readiness skills by studying or interning abroad for academic credit.
Students must be receiving any form of federal financial aid to be eligible. Register for a short informational webinar at gilmanscholarship.org.
