Biography

As the Director, Margaret is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff who manage study abroad programs, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with policies and regulations. She works to monitor, assess, and expand study abroad offerings, collaborating closely with faculty across departments and the campus. This includes supporting faculty involved in education abroad programs, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), exchange programs, and other international opportunities. Margaret also manages international partnership agreements, oversees the Junior Year in Munich program, and supervises the Office of Fellowships. She has worked with several U.S. State Department programs, including the Gilman Scholarship Program, the Critical Needs Language Program, Fulbright, and the IDEAS Grant. Margaret is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and The Forum on Education Abroad.

Having lived and worked in Spain, Italy, and the Caribbean, Margaret's passion for travel and education abroad was sparked. She holds an M.B.A. in Management from the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University.
