Sophia Schwind, M.A.
Biography
As a Program Coordinator, Sophia's primary duties are working on faculty-led program logistics and student advising. In addition to, program marketing, working promotional events around campus and leading pre-departure orientation content and meetings.
Sophia holds a B.A. in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. During her undergraduate program, she studied abroad for two semesters inFlorence, Italy which allowed her to obtain two minors in Global Communication and Italian Studies. She also participated in a summer exchange program through the College of Communication and Information at KSU in conjunction with the University Immersion Program (UIP) through Sichuan University in Beijing and Chengdu, China. Additionally, she participated in a GIVE volunteer program to Jiquilillo, and Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. Post-graduation she worked in Florence, Italy for a student-oriented travel company as a Graphic Designer, and assisted with guiding European trips. Post-pandemic, earned an M.A. in Cross-Cultural and International Education with a concentration in Non-Profit Communication and Grant-Writing from Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 2022.
