Fulbright Program

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. Department of State's flagship educational and cultural exchange program.

Grant opportunities for faculty who are U.S. citizens are offered in over 125 countries through the Scholar Program. These awards provide faculty the chance to teach and/or conduct research abroad as well as share their expertise in their field.

Numerous Wayne State faculty members are Fulbright awardees, and each year the university proudly welcomes Fulbright Scholars from abroad.

The Office of International Programs is here to help faculty who want to apply for an award; work with partners abroad; or simply learn more about the application process.

OIP Associate Director Jaclyn Assarian is the campus representative for the Fulbright Scholar Program. If you have a project in mind or would like guidance with the application process, contact her at jassarian@wayne.edu or 313-577- 9319.
